Word For Mac Double S

Formatting a document with the many tools offered in Word 2011 for Mac is a piece of cake. You can make a document look however you need it to look. Just follow these tips to adjust the spacing between lines and paragraphs. To change the spacing between lines, select the lines whose spacing you want.
What is duplexing? The term duplex refers to printing on both sides of the page, e.g. Printing 'double-sided'. Only printers with duplexing capability (formerly an add-on unit, now usually a standard feature on modern printers) will allow you to print double-sided. Enabling Duplexing First, make sure the computer knows the printer is able to duplex: • Go to the Apple and choose System Preferences. • Click Print & Fax.
• On the left, select the printer you wish to use. • Click Options & Supplies • A new window will appear, it may look different depending on your operating system version: • 10.5+ Across the top it will say General Driver Supply Levels.
Select Driver. • 10.4 At the top there will be a drop down menu, select from it Installable Options. • Make sure there is a check box for 'Duplex Unit'.
• Close this window and the Print & Fax window. Printing as Double-Sided varies by application, but in general: Open a document, go to File, choose Print, then pop up the 'Copies & Pages' menu and choose Layout. Click the button for 'Long-edged binding'. Creating Alternate Presets If you want to easily switch between single-sided and double-sided printing, you can create a preset: From most applications (e.g.
Microsoft Word): • Go to File and choose Print • There will be a drop-down menu that will have an option for Layout. Select Layout. • You will then get more options, including one for Two-Sided.
Select 'Long-edge binding' • Towards the top, you will see a drop down menu for 'Presets'. Select 'Save As' and name it 'Double-Sided'. • Now change the Two-Sided to 'Off' and save the Preset as 'Single-Sided'. When you want to print double-sided, go to the Presets menu and choose 'double-sided'. In our experience, that 'double-sided' preset will stay selected until you choose something different. When you want to print single-sided, go to the Presets menu and choose 'single-sided' instead.
