Currently the server is running on an old PC, but in the near future, I'm going to get/build a new dedicated server, with internal drives, and in the meantime, I need more storage for my current server. The thing just is, that I do not know, which drive to get. Since I have a promo coupon for WD products, I'm going to get a WD drive. On the store I have fount two different drives I found appealing: WD My Book and WD My Passport. Both are 4TB. Which one would you prefer, if you were in my situation?

Since this appears to be temporary, you might want to consider what you'll want the drives for in the future. Do you want a portable drive to take with you, or do you want to shuck the desktop drive and use internal? The My Book will require a power adapter, but it will be faster and is better suited for full time use (the Passport is fast enough for a Plex server). For what it's worth, I don't shuck my drives.
I have 12 Seagate 8TB external desktop drives and one portable WD 4TB drive (used for backing up my internal system drive). The difference between WD My Book and WD Elements is that My Book comes with pre-loaded software for backup and encryption.
I heard the My Book encryption used to cause some problems when shucking the drive or trying to restore its data (I'm not sure if that's still the case). Elements as its name suggest has only the basics - that is just storage with no additional software. Of course you can still use your own backup and encryption software if you wish.
