How To Check For Updates Silverlight On Mac

PLEASE READ UPDATE: While the API for checking for updates has changed, the update model *after* that method call to CheckAndDownloadUpdateAsync is the same as described below. See this note for updates since this article to the Out-of-browser experiences. Wednesday at MIX09 was a great day. I was exhausted, but after the keynote I was so high on excitement it was great. And update the.xap file, the Silverlight application does nothing. This information enabled me to check if there is an update and if so, tell the user to restart the application, but when he restarts the application, nothing happens.

I downloaded silverlight on my macbook pro when I signed up for netflix. Recently, in the middle of a movie, the screen will freeze (doesn't matter which movie).

The only way to fix this is to reboot. Once I reboot and sign back onto netflix and open the movie player error 2105 appears.

If I reinstall silverlight the movie will play for a little bit longer, but eventually the same error appears and the cycle continues. I have tried opening the player in both Firefox and Safari with the same results. I phoned Apple who said this is a netflix issue, netflix said this is a silverlight issue, and Microsoft directed me to this website. Any help would be appreciated! *****FIXED***** I had the same problem on my mac running osx 10.6.4 after taking some small system updates (still on 10.6.4 after the update) I had the 2105 error from netflix.

Follow these instructions and make%100 sure firefox, safari, quicktime are not open. Visual studio for mac can't load prism for ios app delegate. All I did was uninstall silverlight. Directions on microsoft.com/silverlight/ click on resources. Then install the updates to WMV codec (flip4mac WMV codec from microsoft).

The wmv installer tells you its installing silverlight but its not (?) then it tells you that its older than whats on your computer but its not (??). Then I installed silverlight and reboot.

*POOF* netflix works. Microsoft and netflix each have gobs of money.

Why they cant throw enough money or effort at this is a complete joke. Its laughable how they spend more on marketing than development when they are marketing a product that doesn't even work and its installed on millions of machines. Hi I was having the same problem with my brand new MacBook Pro using Firefox 3.6 and Safari 5.0.

Whenever I tried to play something instantly from Netflix, I received the Player Error code 2105 indicating that the movie player could not be loaded. After consulting multiple websites, I assumed it had something to do with the Sliverlight plug-in. Norton antivirus for mac 2013 crack. I checked Silverlight and it was up-to-date. Then I checked all plug-ins for updates (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins > Find Updates). The Firefox Plugin Check indicated that my Shockwave Flash plug-in was 'vulnerable' so I updated it. Oddly enough, after updating the Shockwave Flash plug-in, the Netflix player loaded fine in both Safari and Firefox. As a side note, as I was trying to figure out what caused this, I used a virtual machine on my mac and loaded IE 8 and watching streaming Netflix that way.

I am having exactly the same problem attempting to run Netflix on my mac using firefox on OS 10.6.8. Each time i open netflix i am given the same error despite having silverlight installed and up to date ( (5.1.10411.0). My only solution so far has been to reinstall silverlight every time i want to use netflix. By the way, I followed Shi Ding's instructions but was not able to open the videos on the link given so this advice did not help me and the problem remains.
